Dear Ector County Precinct One Voters,

I, Larry Robinson as a Candidate for Ector County Commissioner Precinct One, do firmly resolve to work for all of the people of Ector County.

It has been my honor and privilege to campaign for this office and to meet many voters in Precinct One.  I have now reached a point in my candidacy that I feel that I should bring some facts to light.

I campaign for the Republican Party. I campaign as a conservative thinker and doer. There is no place for liberalism in my tool kit.  With this in mind I have reviewed the credentials of my opponents in this race and I see a taint imbuing upon this Republican primary. The color is bluish, not red.

My primary concern is the audacity of Linda Young Anglley in her quest to enter an important race with no notable business or leadership experience.  In my research I did find, however, that Ms. Anglley does have “Democrat” campaigning experience, this being gained through running for two different county elected offices as a Democrat.

Her first experience was a losing run as a Democrat for the office of Justice of the Peace in 2008. The second was another losing run as a Democrat for the office of Ector County Commissioner in 2010.

As I researched my opposition I came across a complaint filed against her by the Texas Ethics Commission.  This complaint revealed that Ms. Anglley violated Texas Ethics laws by failing to report her campaign spending and source of funds.  This is a serious offense and the final ruling of the Ethics Commission was against her.  For anyone wanting to read their final official finding, I’m including a link to the document.

Having a lifetime of business experience in Ector County which includes the frequent use of advertising, I am aware of advertising’s biggest pitfall: a truth in advertising rule violation. The consequential punishment for such a violation is treble damages, court costs, plus attorney’s fees.

I feel like Ms. Anglley and one of my other opponents has in fact committed similar truth violations by misleading the voters by failing to disclose issues – current and past – which might tarnish the veracity and character required in this governmental office which requires wisdom and credibility.

Just as I feel that Ms. Angelly has an obligation to disclose to the voters her past attempts to run as a Democrat and her run in with the Texas Ethics Commission, I believe that Michael Gardner, the incumbent Precinct One Commissioner, has the obligation to keep his constituents apprised of his path toward remediating his upcoming state judicial trial in Nebraska that is scheduled for March 12, 2024.

Mr. Gardner’s trial date falls one week after the conclusion of this Republican Primary Election and Mr. Gardner has stated that, were he convicted in this trial, that he would be ineligible under Texas law to serve in the elected position to which he is seeking re-election.

It seems only reasonable that Mr. Gardner has a duty to those voters that elected him, and the new voters whom he asks to re-elect him to keep them notified of this ominous threat to his ability to perform his fiduciary duty to the people and their money in Ector County.

I urge Precinct One voters to waste no votes for a failed Democrat candidate with a serious ethics violation in her past who has now decided to run as a Republican or  for a man who may be disqualified from office within 7 days after the election ends.

I have researched, I have studied, and now, I announce the above issues with resolve to inform the voters of Ector County of certain non-disclosures issues that are tucked away out of your sight.

I urge voters to study me well.  I hide nothing.  I block no one from my Facebook page.

I ask for your vote,
Larry Glenn Robinson
