Early this morning, local Republican leaders issued a strongly worded resolution in support of Governor Greg Abbott and AG Ken Paxton’s effort to secure the border despite continued opposition from the Biden administration.
“We are extremely proud and supportive of Governor Abbott and AG Ken Paxton’s strong stand in the fight to secure the Texas border despite the incredible opposition from the Biden regime. Everyday, here in Ector County, we see and feel the devasting effects of a wide open border as illegals flood into our area. From drugs to human trafficking this illegal flow costs local taxpayers millions in added support costs, losses due to crime, and most importantly the unrestrained flow exposes our citizens to the toll of increased drug use and the devasting effects of trafficking. The leaders that signed onto our resolution stand strong with our governor and attorney general and we are incredibly proud of their courageous efforts to secure our border” stated Ector County Republican Party Chair Tisha Crow. “We hope that many more local leaders will sign onto our resolution” Crow continued.
